Sara Lipužič is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, textiles, and moving image. Her work traces organic forms and intuitive gestures, often hand-built, layered, or stitched, born from a primal impulse to make, hold and express. Drawing from personal and collective histories, she navigates themes of embodiment, grief, ecology, and ancestral memory, letting discomfort and tenderness coexist on the surface.
While rooted in slowness and subtlety, Lipužič's practice resists passive beauty. Beneath the softness lies rebellion: a quiet revolt against the societal conditioning and the logics of domination. The forms may appear abstract or even ambiguous, but they carry emotional weight, gesturing toward the unspoken, the unresolved, or the not-yet-formed. Feminine and deeply felt, her work functions as a vessel for awareness: asking not for interpretation, but for presence.
She currently lives and works in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She is pursuing a Bachelor in Fine Arts (DOGtime) at Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
