softening into spring is a gentle seasonal reset designed to support the transition from winter into spring. through simple daily practices, nourishing foods and shared communal rhythm, we create space to soften seasonal heaviness, support digestion and reconnect with vitality.
during the reset, the body is gently guided back towards balance, allowing you to directly experience what stable digestion, clearer energy and steadier mood can feel like in your own system.
what is ayurveda
ayurveda is a 5000 year old holistic medical system that observes the effects of food and nutrition on the mind, body and emotions. 'ayur' means life or the length of your life, while 'veda' means knowledge. as a medical system it is concerned with how long you live and the quality of your life.
ayurveda views health as the result of balance between digestion, lifestyle, environment, emotional processing and daily rhythm. rather than focusing only on symptoms, it looks at the root patterns that create imbalance.
a key principle is that digestion is not only about food. we are also constantly digesting experiences, stress, emotions and sensory input. when digestion, physical or emotional, is overloaded or weak, residue can accumulate and affect how we feel in body and mind.
why seasonal resets matter
seasonal wisdom is built into ayurveda
the body and mind respond to the rhythms of nature. spring in particular is considered a time when kapha dosha (heaviness, sluggishness, mucus) accumulates during winter and begins to melt as the weather warms.
a spring reset helps support this natural shift, clearing excess kapha, improving digestion and preparing the body for the change in season.
digestion is central to health
a strong digestive fire (agni) is fundamental to wellbeing. seasonal cleansing supports digestion by helping the body clear metabolic waste (ama) that can build up during winter when digestion naturally slows.
this can support:
> better nutrient absorption
> less bloating and heaviness
> more stable energy throughout the day
> clearer hunger and satiety signals
nature’s timing makes cleansing more effective
detoxing with the season is more effective than against it. as seasons change, the body’s channels (srotas) open and the systems most affected by accumulated doshas become more receptive to cleansing and renewal.

mental clarity and emotional balance
it isn’t just about bodily waste, it’s also about releasing emotional and mental stagnation.

many people experience:
> clearer thinking
> more emotional stability
> better stress tolerance
> deeper sleep
immunity and resilience
seasonal shifts can challenge the immune system as the internal environment reorganises with the external one. gentle cleansing practices help the body reset its internal balance and support immune resilience.

what you will experience through the reset
through the week, many participants begin to notice:
> what true hunger feels like vs. habit or craving
> which foods energise vs. deplete
> how mood and digestion are connected
> how routine stabilises the nervous system
> what “balanced digestion” actually feels like in their body
this creates a reference point you can return to long after the program ends.
the softening into spring includes:
> 1:1 intro call (15 min) before the reset to understand your situation and motivation
> dosha questionnaire
> ayurvedic daily practices (dinacharya) and recommendations
> 7-day curated food menu and shopping list based on ayurvedic principles
> daily morning yoga combining movement, breath and meditation to support the release of toxins*
> mid-week evening check-in and meditation
> an opening circle to arrive together and a closing circle for integration
> an online community space for daily sharing and questions
*the morning practices will be recorded if you cannot make some of them. they will be available to you for 2 more weeks.
an online home retreat
this is an online home retreat, meant to be lived alongside your daily life, without extremes or force. a reminder that we don't always have to travel to remote or idillic places to tap into our inner and outer balance.
a personal note
over the years, i’ve done several ayurvedic resets with different ayurvedic practitioners and doctors, both in clinics and in my own home. each time, the experience offered something new and profound.
these practices helped me understand what truly works with my body and what doesn’t. they revealed my relationship to food, appetite, stimulation and desire. attachments surfaced, so did fatigue. habits softened, so did the heart. some things released through stillness, others through movement.
this program is an invitation to experience these practices in a supported and grounded way. not as a quick fix, but as a communal space for listening, learning and reconnecting with your own inner intelligence.
